Madhouse Films' multiple award-winning short Danger High Voltage will screen in the high-profile Saturday night slot at this year's Fastnet Short Film Festival in Schull, West Cork on May 29th.

DANGER HIGH VOLTAGE TO RECEIVE IRISH BROADCAST PREMIERE
Madhouse Films' award-winning debut short film, Danger High Voltage, is to receive its broadcast premiere on RTE television. The short, which stars Barry Ward and Charlene McKenna, will be screened on RTE Two on Monday September 7th.

PSYCH WARD ENDS AFTER FOUR EPISODES
Some bad news regarding Madhouse Films's series Psych Ward. After qualifying through three rounds, we fell at the fourth hurdle of RTE's Storyland competition. Best of luck to the successful finalists, and thanks very much to the cast and crew of the project who all made brilliant contributions. In particular, thanks are due to Katie Holly, Adrienne Greenhalgh and Ailish Bracken at Blinder Films for running an excellent production.

SHOOTING COMPLETE ON PSYCH WARD 4 We have just wrapped Psych Ward Episode 4. The shoot took place in Bray, Dun Laoghaire and the Grand Canal.

Psych Ward has qualified for Round 4 of RTE Storyland, which means we are officially in the top 3. Thanks to everyone who voted for us.
26/05/2009 PSYCH WARD 3 ON THE BRINK OF COMPLETION
Psych Ward Episode 3 is almost ready, we are currently working on the soundmix and picture grade. The pressure on Danny O'Hagan gets more intense in this episode, which sees Sarah Greene (Eden) and Sascha Perfect (Monitor) join established cast members Hugh O'Conor and Barry Ward.

08/03/2009 Psych Ward wrapped last Wednesday night at 10.30pm, by Friday morning we had finished the offline edit - not exactly a lot of time for tinkering! The mix went smoothly on Friday (cheers to Killian @ Avatarpost.ie) and Eugene McCrystal is grading the picture on Monday morning for delivery to RTE on Monday evening. Two trailers are up for viewing on the Psych Ward page and we hope to have a dedicated website at www.psychward.ie up by next Friday (March 13th)

Psych Ward is an online drama written by Luke McManus & Sam McManus and is being produced by Katie Holly at Blinder Films. The screening of Danger High Voltage was attended by director Luke McManus and leading man Barry Ward, and the film has picked up a nomination for the UK Film Council Film Of The Festival award.

Danger High Voltage is getting its UK debut at the London Short Film Festival, The film screens as part of a programme of shorts on Sunday January 11th at 12 noon in the Renoir Cinema at Russell Square.

Danger High Voltage has been given a Special Jury Mention in the best Short Film competition at the Cork Film Festival 2008. The jury said: "Small moments are beautifully captured in this story of two strangers whose lives fleetingly intertwine. The cinematography and subtle sound design place the audience inside the intimate world of the characters so that we feel we have been on a brief but intense journey with them."
